Facts about Bihar, India

  • Population of 85 million people with over 45,000 villages
  • One of the poorest states in India (major problems include very poor health care, high infant mortality, access to clean water and almost a 50 percent illiteracy rate)
  • Less than ½ of 1 percent of the people in Bihar are Christians  

What is T.I.M.?

  • Transform India Movement
  • Begun by Pastor Biju Thomas
  • Seeks to train and place church planters in villages where there is no access to the Gospel
  • Seeks to impact these villages, physically and spiritually, with the Good News of the Gospel  

How can we help?

By partnering with T.I.M. to encourage churches, Sunday School classes or individuals to “Adopt-a-Village” in Bihar, India.  

What will I be doing if I Adopt-a-Village?

You will provide: a well, literacy training, a bicycle for a church planter, 200 Bibles, hymnals, and a medical clinic in that village. It costs $2,800 to adopt-a-village in Bihar, India.  

Can I help in any other way?

Yes, you can sponsor a church planter for $75 per month. You can also help with other ministries that T.I.M. does including the orphanage, a tailoring school for women, leadership training for lay church planters and other outreach activities. Please pray for Bihar, India. Current Needs:   Sponsors for 50 villages, 9 church planters need sponsors and thousands of villages need wells ($700 per well).
