CUBA PARTNERSHIP
HOW TO RESERVE A PROJECT - Contact the Partnership Office of the Baptist State Convention for an updated list of Cuba Partnership requests/dates – and an update on the status of available trip dates ( click on "opportunities to serve" on the right). - Look over the list of project requests and pray about what the Lord may be leading your church or associational team to respond to. Choose a project date. You should have two alternates dates in case your first choice is already taken. Have the team leader contact the Partnership Office at 1-800-395-5102 x 323 or rbrunson@bscnc.org
- If the skills of the team fit those that are requested, a match will be made. Dates will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Your church must get its own Religious License from the U.S. Treasury Dept. for travel to Cuba. Please contact our office for information on how to get your license. After you have your own license we will continue to assist you with the normal arrangements for traveling to Cuba.
- Each member on the team will submit (through the team leader) a completed Partnership application, along with the deposit of $400 per person no later than 90 days before the scheduled date of departure. The final payment of $800 per person is due no later than 60 days prior to the date of your departure. Any funds required for materials cost must also be submitted 60 days prior to departure. (Tickets cannot be ordered until applications and full payment is received.)
- The NC Partnership Office will arrange all travel. Basic cost of the trip will be $1200. This will cover airline travel, lodging, most food, in-country travel, trip insurance, visa, T-shirt, and orientation materials. Tickets and orientation materials will be sent to the team leader.
- A report/evaluation form will be mailed to each team member to be completed and sent back to our office. This information will assist us in preparing for future projects and evaluating the accomplishments of the Partnership.
